Color temperature (white lamps) a low number in kelvin means warm light, just like an candle.

Numbers above 5000 kelvin mean cold white, just like the light in an hospital.

Lumens, the higher the number the brighter the bulb
- 450 lumens equals a 40 watt bulb
- 1100 lumens equals a 75 watt bulb
- 1600 lumens equals a 100 watt bulb
If you buy colored led bulb then the cri index is important. The cri index is a rating from 1 to 100.
Bulbs with an high number have good color reproduction.
